Since 1972, Langley Care Foundation's mission is to raise funds for the elderly in Langley. In fundraising projects, large and small, the people who raise money for the Langley Lodge do it with heart. The ideas generated by dedicated volunteers and supported by Director of Fundraising, Patrick Matiowski range from butterfly releases to ritzy galas. Whether it's a staff recycling project or an innovative golf event, these volunteers show their love for what the Langley Lodge does for people in their twilight years.
Langley Care Foundation is an incorporated non-profit society and registered charity. Net income is re-invested into equipment and furnishings and/or programs and services for Langley Lodge. For example, funds for therapeutic music, horticulture and pastoral care programs and physiotherapy equipment have been provided in recent years and directly benefit the residents in Langley Lodge.
Our Fundraising depends on the generous work of volunteers. These keen folks are from our local community; they volunteer as Directors of the Foundation, on event planning committees, and for every event that is hosted during the year. Additionally, other organizations such as service clubs have organized events to benefit Langley Lodge.
Our vision, to ensure a quality of life for the elderly now and to the end of life, is achievable thanks to the support of our many friends, partners, corporations, service clubs and community leaders.

During its long history, the Langley Care Society has earned a reputation for delivering exemplary care and quality of life, and for continual re-investment in facilities expansion, equipment installations, health, wellness and social/recreation programs, and staff education. These investments are realized most of all by the residents who live their final years in Langley Lodge. For example, a major project in 2008-11 converted our facility into single occupancy rooms, which nearly doubled the size of the facility and upgraded the design to current building standards.
The Langley Care Society’s vision has spanned 45 years, and with recent capital investments another 35-40 years of operations is a realistic goal. The elderly in our community who move into our home, are able to enjoy the best day possible every day until the natural end of life. We are committed to ensuring that Langley Lodge will serve the elderly in our community for years to come, with the exceptional standards of care and range of services to support an active, meaningful quality of life. Gifts to the Langley Lodge Endowment Fund will bring continued fulfillment of these objectives in the years ahead.
