What is an Adult Day Program?
Adult Day Programs (ADP) are an important part of the health care continuum. They support elders to remain in their own homes as long as possible by providing a variety of therapeutic and supportive services to seniors and their families. Adult Day Program is designed to support several core areas of wellbeing.
Core Areas of Wellbeing
Maintenance of physical fitness through planned physical activities.
Maintenance and/or stimulation of cognitive ability and mood.
Health maintenance through assessment and monitoring of general health conditions, i.e., diabetes.
Caregivers are important members of the program. Information and communication will be provided regularly.
